DUBAI: The Saudia Aerospace Engineering Industries (SAEI) has signed an agreement with Thales to boost aircraft and maintenance repair (MRO) services.

Under the deal, the two companies will collaborate in developing line maintenance activities, allowing SAEI to benefit from Thales’ global expertise in the MRO market, the pair said in a statement.

The partnership was announced at the Dubai Airshow, which runs from Nov. 14 to 18, where top global and regional aerospace players are attending to build partnerships and showcase latest technology.

SAEI, a unit of the Saudi Arabian Airlines Holding, also revealed on Sunday a 10-year contract with US conglomerate Honeywell that makes it a certified global service center.
